therapy services in a unique school-based setting in rural Dublin,
GA, supporting an 8-year-old child who is both blind and deaf. This
part-time, contract role requires a compassionate and resilient
therapist comfortable working closely with a dedicated parent who
follows communication methods inspired by those used with Helen
Keller. The position offers approximately 2 hours of work per week.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver tailored physical therapy
interventions for a child with dual sensory impairments. Implement
communication strategies aligned with historical models,
emphasizing non-verbal engagement. Collaborate closely with the
family to ensure consistent support and therapeutic progress. Adapt
therapy approaches to meet the unique needs of a rural school
environment. Offer strength and patience in managing dynamic family
interactions. Desired Qualifications: Experience working with
