Job Description:Under the direct supervision of the site Physician, provides health care services to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Produces images of heart muscle and functioning by setting-up ultrasound equipment; attaching electrodes to chest and equipment; operating and adjusting equipment; recording cardiac and vascular data and measurements; protecting and helping patients.Education:

• Completion of Cardiac Sonography Program RequiredCertifications/Licensures:
  • BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association Required
  • RDCS Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography -or-
  • RCS Adult Registered Cardiac Sonographer - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Required -and-
  • RVT Registered Vascular Technologist - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography RequiredSkills:
    • Must be able to type 60 WPM with minimum errors
    • Proficient in adult Transthoracic, Echo, doppler analysis, Stress echocardiography, EKG and Holter monitor hook-up, treadmills, arrhythmia recognition, vascular studies
    • Familiarity with medical terminology
    • Familiar with Cardiology PAC's and interpretation software
    • Good organizational, grammatical, and communication skills
    • Ability to work with a variety of ultrasound equipmentWork Shift:08.0 - 08:30 - 17:00 No Waive (United States of America)Pay Range:$64.50 - $87.08HourlyOffer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting.
