Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Location: Berkeley, CA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,667 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/9/2026 About the Position Job Title: ICU Nurse-Staff II Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 3 years of RN ICU experience License: State RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience: 2 years - Experience with patient ratios: 2 - Charting system experience: Required (Epic preferred) - Travel experience Description: The position requires a Registered Nurse with a specialty in ICU. The expectation is to be flexible with floating to different units as needed. This role involves caring for adult and geriatric patients. Daily patient census is approximately 12. The nurse will work with a patient ratio of 2 per nurse during day shifts. Interdisciplinary support will include physical therapy, respiratory services, and others. Skills required include management of ventilated patients, blood product administration, and central line management. Experience with procedures such as chest tube insertion/removal and managing BiPAP/CPAP is preferred. Candidates should be proficient in interpreting arterial blood gases and managing dysrhythmias. Additional skills may include obtaining 12 lead EKGs and administering emergency medications. The unit may support various special procedures and patient diagnoses. Candidates must have the ability to adapt to rapid changes in unit needs and patient care demands. All certifications must be held prior to employment. Careful attention to infection prevention protocols is required. Background policy will be reviewed prior to employment. Candidates should be prepared for lab work after signing the contract.
