Job Description LanceSoft is seeking a travel Monitor Technician for a travel job in Jackson, California. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Monitor Technician - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 03/03/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days, rotating - Employment Type: Travel Local pay differs! Required: -BLS, EKG cert (or CCT/CRAT) -CNA highly preferred -at least 2 yrs experience *Tele Tech that provides bedside care to patients assisting with ADLS and other tasks at the delegation of the RN* Job Profile Summary Under the direct supervision of a registered nurse (RN), position performs routine patient care, support and services including accurate interpretation of cardiac rhythms of an assigned patient population through continuous cardiac monitoring surveillance within established standards of care, policies, and procedures. Integrates education, technical competence and patient interaction skills to gain confidence and cooperation from the patient, their family/support group, and other healthcare providers. Exercises sound judgment, and developed clinical skills to support the patient's plan of care based on the diagnosis in a timely manner. Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety. JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES: MONITOR SERVICES • Generates, reads, and interprets monitor strip print-outs based on individual patient need/patient rhythm changes. • Communicates changes in cardiac rhythms or dysrhythmias to the appropriate member of the health care team, according to policy and procedure. • Ensures that routine and priority tasks are completed within established departmental time frames. • Maintains equipment and understands procedures and treatments performed by physicians. • Mentors and fosters a constructive environment that helps students and new nursing professionals build confidence in their skills, knowledge and abilities. NURSING SERVICES • Provides appropriate, direct patient care to patients under the supervision of the RN. • Performs selected procedures, including but limited to: taking vital signs (temperature, pulse, respirations and blood pressure), collecting specimens, admission, transfer and discharge procedures. • Provides basic patient care relating to nutrition, elimination, hygiene and mobility. • Ensures that routine and priority tasks are completed within established departmental time frames. • Maintains equipment and understands procedures and treatments performed by physicians. • Explains and educates the patient on process of examinations, tests and medical procedures in a clear and professional manner to alleviate fear and anxiety. • Mentors and fosters a constructive environment that helps students and new nursing assistants (NA) build confidence in their skills, knowledge and abilities. On the unit monitoring- ICU* Telemetry - on the unit monitoring Monitoring Systems Philips* Professional Knowledge and Skills Cardiac Arrest/CPR* Communicate rhythm variances to Nursing and Physician personnel Isolation Precautions/PPE Maintain rhythm strips in patient’s chart Obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG Place/transfer patients in cardiac system Print rhythm strips and documentation interpretation for patient chart Troubleshoot alarms Patient / Equipment Preparation Required Certification: BLS AHA, EKG Certification or CCT/CRAT, Covid card, Flu vaccine, Driver's License// Tele Tech that provides bedside care to patients assisting with ADLS and other tasks at the delegation of the RN// Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (07:30 - 16:00) every other weekend requirement and float required to med tele floor// EMR- Epic// Travel experience is required// 2 years of recent experience is required.
