Experience: One to two years related experience and/or training, or
equivalent combination of education and experience License: Current
Physical Therapy license, or eligible for registration in
California Certifications: Current BLS course completion Must-Have:

limited supervision while administering various standard physical
therapy treatments for disabilities, injuries, and diseases. Focus
on relieving pain, restoring motor function, and maintaining

self-development at all times. Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from a four-year accredited college or university
in physical therapy, or degree in a related field is required.
Ability to organize and monitor the work of others is necessary.
Aptitude to relate effectively with patients and healthcare staff
in a courteous, professional manner is essential. Ability to work
independently with minimal supervision is required. Analytical and
diagnostic ability is essential for interpreting physician orders
and developing effective treatment plans. Evidence of automobile
insurance is required when travel is necessary. Demonstrates good
oral and written communication skills suited to meet the demands of
the job. Physical Requirements/Work Environment: The physical

including a computer, printer, calculator, and copy machine.
Physical therapy equipment, such as hot packs, electrical
stimulation devices, exercise equipment, weights, walking aids,
whirlpools, wheelchairs, traction devices, and diathermy machines
are utilized. Physical Requirements: This job requires frequent
bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, reaching above shoulders,
sitting, walking inclines and declines, standing, talking, hearing,
and performing repetitive hand motions. Vision requirements include
close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Occasionally lifts
boxes or supplies weighing up to 25 pounds. Potential Exposure to
Blood & Body Fluids: Category 3 for potential exposure to blood and
body fluids. This role does not require the performance of
procedures or tasks involving exposure to blood or body fluids. Job
Roles: Administers physical therapy treatments in accordance with
standard practice. Assumes responsibility for observing work
schedule and job requirements. Maintains compliance with policies
regarding attendance, vacation, and confidentiality. Completes
evaluations on each patient within 24 hours of the physician's
order. Documents patient assessment and ongoing care concisely
according to agency policy and physical therapy standards.
Encourages team members to promote patient and family independence
and prepare patients for discharge. Ensures coordination of
healthcare team services and community resources. Instructs home
care personnel in correct lifting techniques and use of body
mechanics. Maintains and meets expectations on time for all
competencies, licenses, certifications and education requirements.
Maintains physical therapy skills inventory list annually.
Participates in the Performance Improvement Plan activities as
needed. Plans and coordinates referrals to other healthcare team
members based on patient needs. Communicates changes in patients'
conditions and/or orders promptly to other team members. Supervises
administration of treatments to patients by assistants. Willingly
performs other duties and innovations as assigned. Requirements
