About the Role
We're seeking a Design Engineer (Staff Software Engineer - Frontend) to join a small, focused team building a next-generation web application that leverages AI to create visual experiences. This isn't a typical frontend role - you'll be inventing new UI paradigms, redefining how users interact with AI-generated content, and pushing the limits of web interfaces.
This position blends top-tier technical skills with a strong sense of design and user experience.
What You'll Do
A typical week might include:

• 
  
• Collaborating with designers to prototype new ways for users to interact with AI-generated visuals
  
• Creating buttery-smooth animations to make complex operations feel intuitive and magical
  
• Troubleshooting and solving performance issues in the frontend rendering pipeline
  
• Brainstorming innovative UI patterns with the product team
  
• Building reusable, scalable components for a shared design system
  
• Squashing bugs and improving implementation quality in the process
  
• Reviewing code with thoughtful, constructive feedback
  
  What We're Looking For
  
  • 
    
  • 7+ years of experience building and shipping high-quality frontend products
    
  • Expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, and React
    
  • A track record of launching polished, user-loved web applications
    
  • Proven ability to translate designs into pixel-perfect, responsive, interactive UI
    
  • Clean, maintainable, and scalable code practices
    
  • A strong eye for visual design details and interface polish
